Can Mass Article Submission Help Or Hurt Your Internet Business?

First, let's define article marketing, and mass article submission. Article Marketing is one of those low cost, or free marketing techniques used by Internet marketers and general business owners, to help drive targeted traffic that converts to paying customers, for their businesses. Mass article submission is when you submit the same article numerous times to several article directories.

The term convert was mentioned in the paragraph above. Are you familiar with the term "converts" or "conversion"? Well, conversion or converts simply means the amount of visitors that actually visited your website and signs up, or purchases a product from you, compared to visitors that visited your website, but did not purchase anything, or signed up for your product or service.

As I was doing my research on mass article submission, I came across an article that suggested that you will never be penalized for article duplicated content. The article further suggested that if the search engines from reputable search networks came across your duplicate content, they will basically show one instance of the duplicated content, instead of all instances. This is in fact true, but what if the search engines displayed the articles you do not want displayed?

Well, the article is correct in a way. The search engines uses some kind of techniques to determine what article represents the original articles, by checking to see how much incoming links are associated with the article or content. If you use mass article submission for your advertising, it is recommended that you have the link of your original article included in your content.

Mass article submission will definitely hurt your business, if done incorrectly. There are many search engines that will actually not display your duplicated information. If you are in doubt, and do not believe me, then please head over to Google and do a search on the keywords "Google duplicate content rule", then you be the judge. Generally speaking, the majority of the major search engines will display your content if you use mass article submission, to send your content to various article directories. The search engines will not display duplicate content, but one instance of your information will definitely be displayed, as long as the search engine thinks that your article will provide valuable information for the person doing the search, but which article will be displayed? It really does not matter which one, as long as your original links are included within your content.

Even though companies like Tour Operators do not use the technique mass article submission to distribute their advertisements to wholesalers, they usually will suffer because of duplicated content of their information all over the Internet. The search engines will sometimes have difficulty trying to determined which content is the original.

It is my opinion that mass article submission will work for your business if you use the right tools and use the recommended rules and guidelines that the search engines requires.
