If you want to quit your day job and enjoy the Internet lifestyle, you need to take massive action. It will not happen overnight, but if you follow my successful roadmap, you may be able to work full time from home after a couple of months.
I know that others want to make you believe that you can fire your boss next week, but let me tell you the truth. It's not going to happen, and I recommend that you keep your day job until you are making at least $5000 consistently for several months.
Here is the successful roadmap I am talking about.
Step 1. Learn
You need to spend one week or two learning about your business model. Don't be afraid to ask questions on forums. You can also buy a book or two on the subject on Amazon to get the big picture. There are a lot of different ways to make money with Internet marketing and you want to choose the one who suit your schedule and personality.
Don't overlook this step because it is really important. But do not spend month learning. One or two weeks are enough.
Step 2. Follow a Proven and Profitable Blueprint
When you get started, you don't want to be creative. I know it's not what you normally learn in marketing schools, but take my words for it.
Just follow the steps of someone who already earns a couple of thousands dollar per month. For this step, you can get a mentor. If you prefer, you can buy an ebook that gives you a blueprint, and follow it. There are also many membership sites on the Internet, and you may want to join one of them.
Whatever model you choose, make sure to stick with it until you earn money.
